Welcome to Bubba Builder. I’m glad you came this way.

Since the first caveman moved out of that damp place and put up a shelter, man has wanted to have a home. Many people want to have the fulfillment of building their own. Some want to fix up or add additions to the homes they already have. To all of you with these aspirations, I dedicate this site. It is my hope that something you find here will make your journey in construction easier, and the results will be as good or better than what you expect.

Having spent most of my adult life in various facets of the building industry, I believe some of that experience qualifies me to offer informational assistance to those who aren’t exactly sure how to carry out that construction project. (You’ll notice I’m not volunteering to come over and do the work.) If you have the ability to work with your hands and follow instructions, you have the basic tools to do construction work. The other tools cost big bucks at your local hardware store. I have hands on experience in most of the trades needed to do residential construction and repair. So, whether you are building your own home, or replacing the kitchen sink, don’t get stuck.

Ask Bubba

I want you to purchase the right materials to do the work, and ONLY the amount you need. You probably have done some projects in the past and had left over stuff that you will never need. A lot of special order materials are expensive and can’t be taken back. With material prices as high as they are, you need to make every buck count.

If you don’t see any articles about the project you are planning, contact me. I’ll try to get something on line before you start the job. This site is a work in progress, and I will add items as they are requested or as time allows. You may not only have questions, but good advice and ideas to offer. I welcome all.

When I started in construction, there were no nail guns, laser levels, or countless other tools and materials that are available now. The industry changes constantly. It’s important to keep up with new ideas to get work done quicker and for less money. Tell me about the things you have found that make a difference, or ask how I would do it personally.

What do you want to build today?
