I attempt to give brief explanations for construction tasks on this site. At no time do I claim that the ways I give are the only ways to do the work. The procedures I give here are not inclusive of every step required, but are an outline of scheduled events. A popular construction how-to site proclaims, “Watch my video and I’ll make you an expert trim carpenter in fifteen minutes.” I know people who have actually been doing the work for fifteen years and are not, by my standards, experts. No video is going to make you anything. If you have the skills, you can become proficient with “practice”. After you read how I suggest you do something, email me if you still have questions.
